People covered by Cigna insurance have regained in-network coverage at Oxnard and Camarillo hospitals as well as other Dignity Health sites, officials announced Wednesday.
The insurance giant and Dignity, parent company of St. John’s hospitals in Oxnard and Camarillo, reached terms on a new contract. The deal ends a long stalemate that pushed Dignity sites in California out of network earlier this year.
The agreement is retroactive to July 1 for Dignity hospitals, outpatient surgery groups and medical groups in California and Nevada.
“We know how important access to high quality health care providers is and we appreciate the patience of our patients, referring physicians and Cigna’s clients during these negotiations,” said Tammy Wilcox, a senior vice president with Dignity.
